Kelloggs® Gaming & Snacking Tour 

The one-of-a-kind tour visited 158 Walmart locations to bring a Drive-in Gaming Experience to shoppers in a safe, convenient and engaging way. Walmart Shoppers could pull into one of two designated parking spots for the gaming event. Once parked, shoppers were met by an event Brand Ambassador to scan a code and play our Kellogg’s Snack Series 500 game on a large display screen by using their personal mobile device as the steering wheel, gas & brake. 

The drive-in game utilized the new Digital Wand technology to allow customers to interact with digital displays from their very own device without downloading an app. Simply “Scan to Play”! This innovative use of technology allowed for Kellogg’s Co. to host an engaging series of experiential events safely, amidst pandemic restrictions. 

Customers were able to follow along during and after the event via a web-based leaderboard that included a call-to-action to shop for the products online. RSM’s quick pivot to update an already existing event marketing plan for this campaign, and the use of the Digital Wand technology and event drive-in methodology, proved to be a great success. The campaign resulted in 158 events, 6,136 game participants and 8,582 giveaways distributed in addition to continued brand awareness and participating products available at Walmart.
